1. I was named for Melissa Gilbert and Melissa Sue Anderson on Little House on the Prarie. My mother hoped that I would grow up to be as kind, obedient and hard-working as they were on the show.
2. I studied the English Reformation and Shakespeare at St Edmund Hall, Oxford England.
3. I am/was a member of Alpha Delta Pi sorority. (You would never guess it now, but I was cute before children :)
4. My ancestors were neighbors of John Adams in Boston and signed the Declaration of Independence. Adams was actually their lawyer, and his signature appears on family documents. (My true area of historical interest lies in 18th century colonial America, but alas, I live in the West).
5. I got engaged on Haypenny Bridge over the river Liffy in Dublin, Ireland.
6. I climbed a 14,000 foot mountain while living in Colorado for a summer and man was it gorgeous from up there!
Those are my crazinesses! I now tag:
I hope you all participate because I am looking forward to learning more "randomnesses" about you!

I loved reading your randomness. As for the tucker question, it was later called a tucker, but in the 18th century it was known as a fichu. :-)
Lissa, this is to let you know I'm writing my 6 things today. ;-)

Hey girl ... long time, no email. I stumbled on your blog via Mirinda's. Glad to see you and your family are thriving. Your boys are just too precious.

PS. I've been a Dave Ramsey groupie for years. Luuurve him. Especially his radio show. Totally inspires me to get my act together and keep it that way.
PPS. Your six random things? It made me smile to realize I already knew all six. We should catch up sometime.
Hi Lissa....
I am tagging you to do the "I've come to realize" survey on my blog :)
