Robin Hood!

So I realize I am completely behind the times since this BBC show came out in England in 2006, but this remake of Robin Hood is pretty much the best show ever. It is hip, funny, romantic and adventurous, and totally captures that spirit of possibility that anything can happen.

Since it is once again snowing and school was cancelled again, what else am I supposed to do but stay inside and watch quality television? :)
Yeah, we are so upgrading our cable package to get BBC America just to watch Season 3 in March. I never said I wasn't crazy! But really, who can resist a little adventure & romance in life?

P.S. Being a drama major and teacher in a former life, I could go on and on about the quality of the acting in subtexts and moments, the importance of raising the stakes and dramatic arcs, but really most of the actors are products of RADA (Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts) or the RSC (Royal Shakespeare Company) so I would expect no less than excellence and I will let you see for yourself! Oh to know the joy of state-supported arts! I'm sure my ancestors had their reasons for leaving in 1620, but if they could just have hung on in England for a few hundred years, yours truly could have experienced some incredible dramatic training! :)

How fun. I haven't watched this series yet, but it sounds like I must check it out :-)

LOL! That's great! I'm going to have to wait until it comes out on DVD before I can watch it. : ) Enjoy your BBC America!
